David Tennant Continues to Tease ‘Doctor Who’ 50th Anniversary Return

Earlier the 6th Doctor, Colin Baker, said as far as he knew no previous Doctors had been asked back for the 50th anniversary. Does that include the reboot Doctors? Specifically the 10th Doctor and candidate for most popular Doctor ever, David Tennant? Of all possible, previous incarnations to make a return appearance in Doctor Who‘s 50th anniversary, Tennant is the most likely.

While out making the press rounds for his upcoming Christmas flick, Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger – a movie I’m sure we’d all rush to see were it being released stateside only because of his involvement – Tennant was, of course, asked about returning for the 50th.

Talking with BBC Radio 1, he had this intriguing response,

I nearly said something I shouldn’t! … I don’t have an answer to this question. I keep being asked and I wish I had an answer. I’ve nothing to say. I don’t know and if I did have any involvement, I wouldn’t be able to talk about it anyway, would I? Probably not…

Hmm, you can catch the video here with these comments at about the 00:49 mark.

And again, talking to Red Carpet News (video here, comments at 01:25),

I can’t imagine there even are going to be any anniversary celebrations, are there? …Look at my agent getting twitchy!

All right, the gig is up Tennant. I think you know something. He’s definitely in full-on, tease the fans mode, so doe he really have any news about the big 5-0? If he is returning will they be able to keep it secret for long?
