2011 Hot Wheels ARKHAM ASYLUM BATMOBILE – New Batman Toy Car Packaging
This isn’t earth-shattering news but there are some Hot Wheels Collectors out there who will find this important. OK, you know the New 2011 Hot Wheels BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM BATMOBILE Car that is out there? Well, it’s been seen with variant packaging where one has the BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Logo on it. Now, the cars are exactly the same, it’s just a variation on the package design. Mattel is sort of known for doing that kinda thing, ha! Personally I like this new one with the logo because it makes it more of a piece of Bat-Merchandise. ( Thanks Chris )
New LEGO BATMAN – DC Universe Super Heroes Set – The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape #6857
I just got some news about another soon to come out LEGO BATMAN Play Set from the DC Universe Super Heroes Series and it’s called “The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape” #6857. It’s a large Lego Toys Playset that comes with five Lego Figures: Batman, Robin, Riddler, Joker, and Harley Quinn!! Check it out, it looks pretty cool!
New BATMAN-THEMED T-SHIRTS at Wal-Mart!
This is a quick post to share some good news. Our friend BatDave reported last night that he just hit Wal-Mart on the East Coast and they had a bunch of new BATMAN Themed T-Shirts priced for under $9.00. Here’s a photo showing a couple that he bought ( they’re both the same ) that feature a cool POP HEROES Funko Toy Figure image on the front. You can’t beat 9 bucks! ( Thanks BatDave )
First Look BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM Video Game Action Figures
Wow! Check out these BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM Action Figures! As everyone knows the video game was a smash hit. I mean, it won “Game of the Year” around the world! With it’s popularity Warner Bros has capitalized on a few products. Mainly there have been a few T-Shirts & Statues. Well, now they’re going to make some action figures & they look pretty awesome! The first wave will feature Batman, The Joker, Scarecrow, & Harley Quinn. Oh yeah, the Joker figure will also come with a small Scarface Ventriloquist Doll . About the only information on these new toys right now is that they will be about 6″ tall & heavily articulated. DC Direct has not given an exact release date yet but stay tuned to the Bat-Blog & we will let you know. In the mean time here’s some pictures to totally drool over, ha! BATMAN is at the Target Store Dollar Bins Again!
I got a wonderful email last night from a Bat-Blog Reader named Matthew who reported that TARGET Retail Stores are carrying Batman-related merchandise in their “Dollar Bins” again, awesome! So, be sure to keep an eye out on your next trip there. The “Dollar Bins” are usually located near the front of the store, as soon as you enter. Personally I really love the fun stuff they sell. Matthew said he bought a Batman Sticker Pack (with a play scene), 2 Activity Books, and 2 Jumbo Activity Books. There were also a lot more items that he did not purchase like: Another Sticker Pack, Motion Stickers, 4 Packs of Crayons (Batman themed and Joker themed), Markers, Push-Up Pencils, and 2 little Childrens Books one of which was a Riddler story. These are just in time for Back to School! Plus remember, you are never to old to color in a Batman Coloring Book, ha ha! Retro-Action DC Super Heroes Are GO!
Just a quick post: I’m sort of getting flooded with emails from people saying they are finding the new RETRO-ACTION DC SUPER HEROES figures by Mattel in retail stores right now so be sure to keep an eye out for them! The 1st wave of toys include Batman, Aquaman, Black Manta, & Two-Face. Anyone who grew-up with Mego Dolls are gonna totally love these!
New BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES BEARBRICK Figures by Medicom ( 400 and 1000 size )
Here are some cool new Bat-Products to keep an eye out for. A Japanese Toy Company called Medicom will release two BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES BEARBRICK Figures. One will be 400% scale ( $99.99 ) and the other will be 1000% ( $399.99 ). We posted a photo here that gives you an idea of their size. The smallest figure in the picture, shown far right-hand side, is the size of the regular Bearbricks Figure. So, you can see how BIG they are. They have a release date of December, 2010, so look for them very soon.

Video Review – DC UNIVERSE SQUATZ FIGURES – BATMAN and JOKER TOYS!
Over at YouTube “The Review Revolution” did a pretty good Toy Review about the new Collectible DC UNIVERSE SQUATZ Toy Figures of Batman and The Joker. The BAT-BLOG.COM announced these new products awhile back and you can read our full review by clicking right HERE! I just wanted to post this video because the person who did it did a very decent job. Plus, it shows what these toys actually do & how you interact with them ( you put them in water & they have a special-coating that dissolves to reveal the hidden figure ). I think these toys are kinda cool & hopefully it will remind people that they are out there.
DESMOND Models His New BATMAN T-SHIRT From Old Navy!
Late last night we got some wonderful photos in our email box from our very best super friend, Desmond! He’s shown here modeling a brand new BATMAN T-Shirt he got recently at Old Navy. His Mom said, “Old Navy has been carrying Batman merchandise on a regular basis now and I continue to find great tees there.”
In the next photo we see Desmond wearing his favorite Bat-Mask! His Mom said, “This kid is obsessed with the bat! We also found a Batman ski mask for adults that he has been wearing for a week now…we are lucky to get him to take it off for dinner and bedtime. He gets that mask on and runs around whispering in a spooky tone “I’m Batman”. We think it’s quite possible he thinks he really is Batman!”

New 2012 GOLDEN AGE BATMAN Graphic Novel Books in Argentina!!
Oh Man, BATMAN Fans and Collectors who live in Argentina are having fun right now! The local CLARIN Newspaper chain has published a special series of Batman Graphic Novels that reprint the first 100 Batman Stories starting with the Classic Golden Age 1939 DETECTIVE COMICS #27 Story. I think they’re basically reprints of the “Batman Chronicles” Books we had here in the US, but in a different format. Anyways, there will be 16 Issues to collect and Volume # 1 is out, right now, as we speak! The books have 100 pages and are in full-color. Our good friend Cesar told us about these ( He lives there. Oh, and Thanks Cesar! ) and he said they’re pretty nice quality. Shown here is the cover to Volume #1, an advertisement showing other issues, and then the last photo is a pic of some die-cut promo items that were suppliments inside the Clarin Newspaper.

NEW BAT BOOK – Christopher Nolan’s Batman – The Art and Making of the Dark Knight Trilogy
OK, Cool! Here’s some news I came across the other day that Christopher Nolan Fans are gonna love. Around July 28th, 2012, Abrams will be releasing a brand-new BATMAN MOVIE History Book titled, “Christopher Nolan’s Batman: The Art and Making of the Dark Knight Trilogy”. It will be written by Jody Duncan Jesser, Janine Pourroy, and designed by Chip Kidd. It’s also gonna be a 304 page Hardback!
