Check out this amazing photo taken in Pittsburgh, during the filming of the new Batman movie, by our friend & Bat-Reporter Chris Walker! ( Click on it for a larger pic ). It’s a photo of the TUMBLER BATMOBILE ( Camouflage version ) sitting in fake snow. If you study the picture you can see large blocks of “fake snow” in the foreground. Also, you can look at other parts of the street that are not covered with snow. Yes, the magic of Hollywood! Live from New York, it’s… Saturday Night! Actor Steve Buscemi was recently the Host of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE! This TV episode of SNL did a really great parody of THE DARK KNIGHT where Steve Buscemi played Jim Gordon and Batman is constantly harassing him, hilarious!!

Since there really hasn’t been any hype lately from Warner Bros about THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie I thought I’d post a few inspired by the film. I gotta say, it’s been pretty hard finding decent photos of Catwoman ( Anne Hathaway is still hiding, ha! ) so I guess the focus will be on the BATMAN and BANE characters. Here we go!

This is just a quick post to share 2 brand-new Batman items I have come across. The 1st photo is an amazing “THE DARK KNIGHT RISES” Batman Movie Statue by ARTFX. I’m sorry I don’t have much more information about it right now but once I do it will be featured in it’s own post. but for right now, it looks AWESOME!
OK, The next pic was sent to me by Melissa, a very nice Bat-Friend of this site, and I think she sent it just to torture me, ha ha! You see, this is from POTTERY BARN KIDS and they just keep coming up with very cool Batman items all the time, arrgghh! Hey, if anybody else out there ( that means YOU ) comes across ANY brand-new Batman Products, while surfing the net or hitting the Retail Stores, then please let us know. With the new Batman Movie just around the corner I know the Bat-Merchandise is gonna get totally crazy!
New THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman and Catwoman Wall Posters
Very quickly, I wanted to share these 2 pics I found that represent 2 brand-new Wall Posters you’ll be able to find in Retail Stores pretty soon, if not now. They both showcase CATWOMAN ( Anne Hathaway ) and BATMAN ( Christian Bale ) from THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie. I bet the Marketing Dept for that company said, “We’ll make one for Boys and one for Girls”. But, what they don’t know is that all the Boys will probably want the Catwoman Poster, ha ha!
BATMAN – THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS – New Promo Photos from the Future Animated Movie
You might remember from last year “BATMAN: YEAR ONE” was made into a full-length animated feature by Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. Well, now another classic story by Frank Miller is going to get the “DC Universe Animated Film” treatment! This movie will take on the iconic 1986 Graphic Novel, BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS!
This story doesn’t even need an introduction. Basically, it’s set in the near future when Bruce Wayne is an aging old man, retired. But because of some new events he is brought out of retirement. This Graphic Novel is so important to Bat-History that I’m sort of shocked they’re even trying to to do this in animated form. But, it’s got Bruce Timm behind it, as well as an amazing cast, so I know it should be pretty cool!
Here are some recent promo photos that have been leaked. My two favorites are the iconic “Lightning Bolt Flash” picture up above and then getting to see Carrie Kelley again, the 13 year old “Girl Robin”.

Warner Bros released some new promo material for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie so I thought I would make a few BATMAN Desktop Wallpapers to celebrate. Actually, these feature Anne Hathaway as CATWOMAN, Meow! She’s riding the BAT-POD & I love how both of the bike’s guns are blazing and bullet cartridges are flying… AWESOME!

In this video Scott Neitlich, aka Toy Guru ( Mattel Marketing Manager ), gives you a preview of the Exclusive 2012 Comic Con BATMAN Action Figure that ties-into THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie. Well, we should not say “exclusive” because all the ones that don’t sell at the Comic Con will be offered later on their MATTY COLLECTOR website. But hey, you get the idea! Anyway, this action figure has some amazing box-packaging featuring Wayne Manor and the Bat Cave, plus it has lights and sounds! Just watch the video, you’ll see : )

Check out these extremely cool photos shot by our Friend “BatMatt” who lives in Marietta, GA. ( Be sure to click on them for larger HD versions ). He recently made a trip to New York City around the 4th of July and said that THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie is promoted there like crazy!! To prove it he got some excellent pics in Times Square ( which we’re gonna share in a future post ) and then here are some he took in Chinatown. If you just read the post up above then you just saw the new HOT TOYS BANE Figure from THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Batman Movie. Well, HEY! Bane needs a vehicle to get around in so here you go! HOT TOYS just released these promo photos of the new TUMBLER BATMOBILE Vehicle ( Camouflage Version ). Please keep in mind that this car is made in 1/6th scale to fit these large dolls, I mean figures! So, this thing is HUGE!!

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES – Insane BATMAN Mountain Dew Store Display!
Here’s a photo one of our friends at Facebook shared with us the other day and like a total idiot I forgot to ask where this was. But, I guess it doesn’t matter that much because just seeing the photo is totally GREAT!
Check it out, some Retailer went totally INSANE with the Store Display in this Grocery Store, very cool!! Thank you Normand for sharing your fun pic, it’s great. You must have freaked out when you saw it, ha!
MICHAEL KEATON as the BATMAN?!
OK, This is a totally hilarious piece of original Bat-History right here. A Bat-Blog Fan, who wishes to remain anonymous ( we respect that ), sent us this copy of a petition some very serious people ( I think in Canada ) started back in the late 1980’s when they heard the news that Michael Keaton was chosen as the Actor to play the role of “Batman” in the upcoming 1989 BATMAN Movie.
Now, how funny is this? The irony of course is that Mr. Keaton totally blew everybody away with his performance & turned out to be a really good Dark Knight!
It Reads:
“It has recently been announced that the Actor MICHAEL KEATON has been chosen to play the BATMAN in the big budget film being directed by TIM ( BEETLEJUICE ) BURTON for release in 1989 ( the 50th Anniversary of the BATMAN ). If the Producers of this movie are truly committed to leaving the camp image of the 60’s TV Show behind and presenting to the world the DEFINITIVE DARK KNIGHT DETECTIVE they can’t allow MICHAEL KEATON to play this role!! Don’t get me wrong, KEATON is a fine comedy actor who has done exemplary in the past in such films as BEETLEJUICE, MR. MOM, NIGHT SHIFT, etc.. but he’s defiantly not the sort of imposing figure needed to define the ultimate creature of the night, the BATMAN! Help us to stop this ridiculous decision before filming starts in December/–88 Sign the petition below and let’s bring the folks at Warner Brothers Films to their senses!
We, the undersigned, strongly insist that the decision to cast MICHAEL KEATON as the BATMAN is a major mistake and must be reversed before filming starts on BATMAN: THE MOVIE!!”
WATCH – BATMAN: PUPPET MASTER – A New Fan-Film Movie
BATMAN: PUPPET MASTER is a brand-new short fan-film movie set in Christopher Nolan’s modern-day “Dark Knight” universe. The story is meant as a sequel to “The Dark Knight” and it bridges the gap between that film and the current “Dark Knight Rises”. This is a film created by fans, for fans, and it delivers an exciting storyline that introduces new versions of Victor Zsasz, The Ventriloquist with Scarface, and Edward Nigma (aka The Riddler), who fans were expecting to appear in Nolan’s third Batman film back when there was not a lot news but a ton of speculation.
Overall, this BATMAN fan-film is very excellent. The acting is very decent, the camera work/lighting/editing/sets/costumes/etc are all top-notch. The special effects are very impressive, especially the stuff with Batman’s bat-a-rang weapons. Hey, I’ll shut-up now so you can enjoy this cool video, WATCH IT!! ( Whoops, as a side note I should say that this fan-film is in NO way associated with Warner Bros or DC Comics )

We know the new DC Animated Film, THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS Part One, won’t come out for another month but we’re all so excited here we decided to post a few Free DKR Wallpapers to celebrate! Hey, it is Wednesday and that means “Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday”! These were made from fresh stills from the movie. We get to see Batman, Robin ( Carrie Kelley! ), and Gotham City Police Commissioner Jim Gordon. Enjoy. Oh yeah, just to clarify, the movie will be released on DVD, Blu-Ray & digital download on September 25th, 2012.
BATMAN ACTION FIGURES – Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!!
OK, do you know what time it is? It’s “Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday”! Yes, NOW is the time of the week where we post some fun FREE BATMAN WALLPAPERS you can use to brighten your desktop. This time around I thought we would celebrate “Collecting Batman Toys” so here are some wallpapers with an “Action Figure” theme.
The 1st one was made using a photo sent in to us by a friend of the BAT-BLOG named Cully ( Thanks Dude! ). These toys are some of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie Action Figures with 2 examples of the Bat-Signal you could make. ( Each figure came with one piece & when you buy them all together you get a complete “Bat-Signal” to display ).
Next, is a really great pic showing the BATMAN: DARK KNIGHT RETURNS 4-Pack that will be coming out in 2013. Each figure comes with a display base ( sidewalk piece ) and I totally love the Carrie Kelley ROBIN figure, it’s so cool!!
