The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Choice of Harry Osborn in ‘Amazing 2′ Down to 3

Things are shaping up well for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, shooting starts in February for a 2014 release date, stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and director Marc Webb will all be back, and rumor has it that Jamie Foxx will play villain Electro with Shailene Woodley being cast as Mary Jane Watson. So what’s next? How about the question of who’s going to play Harry Osborn.

You’ll recall that James Franco played the part to some acclaim in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy released between 2002 and 2007, so whoever gets the gig will have a tough act to follow. The studio, it seems, has it down to three players, at least one of who you may recognize: Brady Corbet, Dane DeHaan, and Alden Ehrenreich

DeHaan you will recognize from his starring role in this year’s Chronicle where he played the troubled super-villain in the making Andrew. I don’t know, but I think he might be a tad too creepy for the part of fine, upstanding trust-fund brat Harry. The other two actors up for the role are still accomplished actors in their own right. Ehrenreich has had roles in Tetro and in Francis Ford Coppola’s Twixt, while Corbet has had parts in recent critical darlings Melancholia and Martha Marcy May Marlene.

For my money, Corbet looks like the clean All-American kid Harry’s supposed to be, but you Bastards be the final judges. Check out the pics below:
