There’s a brand new deviant artist who opened her account with a very unique looking Rikku Cosplay!
I don’t know much about Vanne, but her first cosplay entry is really nice! I thought I’ll give her a helping hand on getting some traffic…
Apparently, this is the Lady Luck / Gambler version of Rikku. It’s a nice change from all the Rikku cosplayers I’ve been seeing so far… I’m guessing that’s her real hair, but I can’t be really sure. Final Fantasy X: Yuna 06
Nomura Tetsuya designed Yuna with hibiscus flowers as her name depicts. Her name also means “night” so her weapons are empowered by the moon. Yuna also has heterochromia, which explains her different colored eyes; her blue eye comes from her half-Spiran bloodline and her green eye comes from her half-Al Bhed bloodline.
Beautiful cosplay! Good location too. I wonder if she had a hard time keeping her hair fixed? Thanks for sharing this!

X/1999: Kishu Arashi
A fondling child raised by Shinto priests at Ise Shrine, Arashi’s mother, a priestess of the same shrine, abandoned her after learning of her child’s destiny. She is called the “Hidden Priestess of Ise” and became the Dragon of Heaven most immediately in touch with Princess Hinoto. She specializes in sword fighting and can summon a massive sword emerging from her left hand.

Paradise Kiss: Sakurada Miwako 02
Known to be a very sweet and cute girl, Sakurada Miwako tends to act in a childlike manner by her Lolita styled fashion and unique vocabulary. Her endearing personality attracts many of other characters to her and is considered to be Hayasaka Yukari’s best friend.

Ikkitousen: Kanu Unchou
It appears that some of the cosplays from Comiket 2010 (78) have been mixed up with the ones from Winter Comiket 2010 (79). No matter though… there are still several photos I have not been able to get to anyway! I need more time to write and research about more series and games!
I thought I could find out who this girl is, but I’ve gone through most of the girls in Street Fighter and came up empty. Perhaps my readers know who and where she’s from? Thanks again to Alex for suggesting this!
EDIT: Thanks to everyone for the flood of comments that this is Kanu Unchou from Ikkitousen! Now I’m wondering if I spelled her name right since there comments that say “Kanu” as well as “Kan’u”! Not to mention whether or not it’s last name or first name for that matter.

Alice in Wonderland: The White Rabbit
The White Rabbit is a fictional character in Lewis Caroll’s book, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”, which is also known in films as “Alice in Wonderland.” He is a herald-like servant of the King and Queen of Hearts in Wonderland, but his personality shifts between being pompous and obsequious.
Akusesu’s interpretation of the White Rabbit is absolutely breath-taking! I should have featured this during the Chinese New Year’s celebration as we are on the Year of the Rabbit this 2011. Thanks again to Cherry for sending this in!

Gundam Seed Destiny: Meer Campbell
Before I get any more emails, I’d like to feature a cosplayer from the West, namely in America.
This is a cosplay photo I came accross in Deviant Art. Though I don’t know her name, she’s apparently Adella’s Sister. This is a very good example that you don’t have to be Asian in order to come up with a good cosplay.
Adella obviously took her sister’s natural beauty in deciding a costume for her. In my opinion, I love the way she portrays Meer. A lot of people have failed miserably when they try to cosplay Meer, but she does it just right, and she still looks good even if the costume is a bit revealing.
Kudos to Adella and her sister. I hope I get to see more of their photos…

Death Note: Amane Misa 02
This is the second Amane Misa Cosplay featured in this blog… But I have a hard time choosing from one or the other.
Philippine’s Cosplay Idol, Alodia “Edjie” Gosiengfiao, is so popular in the Philippines that she is usually asked to judge cosplay competitions instead of joining them. (Apparently, if she joins a said competition, she wins hands down. So she becomes a judge to “give chance to others”.)

Shakugan no Shana: Shana
It seems that Kipi is more popular than I had imagined… She has a fan base that is probably one of the biggest I have ever seen! And she’s cosplayed (I estimate) about 20 or so characters already.
This is one of my personal favorites… Shakugan no Shana, a girl who kills by fire. This anime is pretty popular, and it’s already on its 2nd season.
I’m craving for Melon Pan now… I need to finish watching the first season quickly…

First, a confession…
I seemed to have clicked “save” instead of “publish” in my blog editor… So technically, this should have been posted yesterday… Deepest apologies.
It seems ever since a couple of friends of mine have seen this cosplayer in Kotaku, they’ve been bugging me to post her in this blog too!
Indeed, I have the strangest people for friends, and yet, I am not complaining one bit.
Honestly speaking, I have no idea how accurate this girl’s cosplay is. I do know that this girl is Jenni K llberg. You can find more of her cosplays in Pixel Ninja.
Really love the effect she did with her armor… And that blood gash on her abdomen looks very realistic… Anyone care to chare their thoughts on this?

Kelly Osbourne: Turning Japanese
An interesting video clip of Kelly Osbourne cosplaying Lacus Clyne from Gundam Seed… Her hair clip is on the wrong side but you pretty much know she’s doing Lacus anyway.
She doesn’t really do a good Lacus Clyne, but I’ll give her a ton of credit for doing something she has no idea what it’s about…

Yami no Matsuei: Kazutaka Muraki
Yami no Matsuei or the Descendants of Darkness’ main antagonist, Kazutaka Muraki is a brilliant doctor who laments over losing the lives of his patients… as a cover to the fact that he’s actually a psychotic serial killer who plays with spirits, curses, and the dead.
Do you realize now why I’m so fascinated with him?
And what a brilliant photo this is! With the roses, it looks like he is meeting with Tsuzuki, his “prey”. I love the hair and his trench coat too! Fantastic cosplay!

Dogs: Luki and Noki
A cute cosplay from the series, Dogs’ Luki and Noki. They are twin assassins, around the age of 10, who have collars around their neck to heal their injuries almost instantly. Each of them have an arm missing, thanks to a “test”done by Professor Eintellson.
They are quite childish in the methods of killing, thinking that it’s like “playing tag” with their victims until they finally catch them.

Gyakuten Saiban 2: Karuma Mei 02
It’s been a while since I last posted Shibata Ina’s picture. So here’s one of her cosplaying as Karuma Mei from Gyakuten Saiban 2!
Karuma Mei, commonly known as Franziska Von Karma, is a young prosecutor who regards Miles Edgeworth as her little brother, despite their ages. It’s of interesting note that she actually has an older sister who’s married and has a daughter, but the game hasn’t mentioned this just yet.

Anyway, this is a really cute shot of Shibata Ina! I love her cosplays, and I hope she does more!

Kuroshitsuji: Sebastian Michaelis
The butler of the Phantomhive household, Sebastian Michaelis is akuma de shitsuji desukara, literally “a demon and a butler” or “one hell of a butler”. He is actually the demon with whom Ciel Phantomhive has formed a contract with, to serve him and protect him until he fulfills his goals.
And of course, as soon as that happens, Sebastian will take Ciel’s soul; as their contract states.
A rather splendid cosplay of the demon “servant”. It would be interesting to know why exactly he would go to such lengths to get Ciel’s soul. I wouldn’t think demons would work so hard for just any soul. Great cosplaying!

Blue Dragon: Dawn Dragonkin and Dusk Dragonkin
Have you ever heard of Jimmy Lin? His Chinese name is , and he’s a Taiwanese singer, actor, and professional race car driver.
Now why would I be talking about him in this blog?
You guessed it. Jimmy Lin has cosplayed for the anime and game title, “Blue Dragon”. My only dilemma is, there’s little information about who he’s cosplaying as, and my Chinese is not good enough to read up a lot of what’s written about it on the Internet.
Oh yes, both characters are Jimmy. It’s been photo manipulated to feature both of his cosplays.

Rozen Maiden: Suiseiseki 02
One of the few dolls who oppose the Alice Game, Suiseiseki is the older twin of Souseiseki who values her sisters more than becoming Alice. She has difficulty expressing that love towards others and tends to insult them instead.
You might recognize this cosplayer from Singapore… her name is Aisling and I featured her as Hinamori Momo from Bleach back in January. This is only her second cosplay attempt, and I think it would be safe to say we hope to see more of her, yes?

D. Gray-man: Kanda Yu
I didn’t think I’d be coming across any unknown cosplays for a while, but this caught my attention after it was sent to me by a reader.
I wouldn’t even think he was cosplaying, but it seems the mark on his chest is pretty significant. I have no idea what it means, and I’m not familiar with any anime or manga associated with it.
Thoughts anyone?

Angel Sanctuary: Alexiel
One of the most powerful angels ever created, Alexiel rebelled against against God due to the corrupt practices occuring in Heaven. She was born from Adam Kadmon to love God, but she could not deny her love for her twin brother, Rosiel. As punishment for her actions, she is doomed to an endlessless cycle of reincartions into be miserable lives, each of which ends in a tragic death.
Her current incarnation is Mudo Setsuna, a human who is in love with his own sister, and is awakened as the Saviour. Setsuna therefore has access to all of Alexiel’s powers.

Soul Eater: Franken Stein
Considered to be the most powerful meister to graduate from the Death Weapon Meister Academy (DWMA), Stein views the world as his own place to experiment, which makes him fight his own insane urges to dissect everything. He’s even experimented on himself, placing a giant bolt though his own head, which he occassionally turns while thinking.

Vampire Knight: Kiryuu Zero 05
Born of twins into an infamous Vampire Hunter family, Zero’s fate drastically changed when he was attacked by a pure blooded vampire, Hio Shizuka. He lost his parents and his twin, Ichiru, chose to stay with Shizuka, leaving him alone and orphaned. Despite these series of unfortunate events, Kaien Cross adopted Zero and Yuki began to help him recover emotionally.

Vampire Knight: Ichijou Takuma 02
A close friend of Shiki Senri and Touya Rima, Ichijou’s grandfather allowed him to enter Cross academy so that he could spy on the pure blood, Kuran Kaname. Ichijou refused to follow his grandfather’s orders out of loyalty, but when Kuran Rido possessed Shiki, he was forced to go against Kaname in order to protect his friends. He returns to Kaname’s side once Shiki was freed, going so far as challenging his own grandfather to put an end to the Ichijou line.
