Westeros Would Be Fancier With These House Sigil Bow Ties

stark bow tie

Imagine that just for one night, the residents of Westeros put aside their peasant dresses and worn armor and went modern-formal. There would be elegant gowns (though Game of Thrones already has plenty of those) and possibly bow ties. I can definitely picture the likes of Robb Stark and Joffrey Lannister buttoning up and wearing the sigils of their respective houses on their ties.

Even if that’s not practical for them, you can represent your chosen house with your neck tie. Etsy seller Mary & Mary’s have options available for Starks, Targaryens, Lannisters, and Baratheons. If those don’t float your boat, you can also check out her shop for a bevy of other ties with nerdy prints.

Fantastic Mega Man And Comic Book Eye Shadow Designs

If you like playing around with make-up, then these designs by Jangsara will provide you with some wonderfully geeky inspiration. She’s created a teeny, tiny Mega Man that actually makes blue eyeshadow cool and a second design that looks like a panel from a comic with the word “Pow” in a burst of red and blue. Can you just imagine how these would go over at a convention? Brilliant!

Gorgeous Geeky Eye Makeup Featuring Batman and More

Applying eye shadow, eye liner, and mascara in a way that’s not basic is beyond my skills. Creating pieces of art like this are so far out of my range it’s not even funny, but Kirsty Childs has it perfected. She’s put together some beautiful eye makeup designs that include superheroes like Batman, Superman, Thor, Wonder Woman, Spidey and other characters such as Maleficent. She even created a pattern for The Riddler. I admire her tenacity and artistic sensibilities.

If you click through to her DeviantArt gallery, you can check out almost every character to see what eye shadows she used.

Need This Sexy Star Wars Clutch, You Do

Finding the right purse can be challenging. It needs to be a certain size, match the right number of outfits, but above all – it needs to suit your personality. I think this Star Wars clutch is made for me and about every geeky lady I know. It’s an oversized clutch but still manageable at 8″ x 12″, it has a zipped pocket on the interior, and the print is perfect. This is going in the want a whole bunch category.

Look Like Chewbacca Only When You Feel Like It With This Reversible Jacket

You may have teased friends about being so hairy they look like they’re wearing a Wookiee fur coat, but this jacket makes that jab an actual thing. The coat is part of Mark Ecko’s Star Wars collection, and the designer realized that even though a Chewbacca jacket is fun, it’s not an everyday look – so he made the jacket reversible.

Wear it fur side out to rock the Wookiee look or change it so you’re simply donning a brown coat that has a Rebel Alliance symbol and a fur trimmed hood. Pretty clever in my opinion.

See what the non-furry side of the jacket looks like after the break.

Handmade “Labyrinth” Door Knocker Earrings

These earrings are amazingly detailed replicas of the door knockers in the movie Labyrinth. They’re the work of deviantArtist buzhandmade and unfortunately are not for sale. I’ve always found the one with the ring in his mouth to be a bit confusing. If it bothers him to have it shoved in his mouth so he has to mumble, why doesn’t he just open his mouth and spit the ring on the ground?

Handmade Steampunk Etched Brass Bag

This steampunk bag was made by Delireus out of brass, nickel and leather. Believe it or not, this is her first attempt at this kind of project. It took about 20 hours over the course of three weeks to put it all together. It measures 5.5 inches wide x 5.75 tall x 2 inches deep so it’s not overly large, but she says it is a bit heavy. The only thing she didn’t make herself is the locking clasp.

She plans to improve on this version down the line by making one with a leather body as opposed to a wood shell. If this is her first attempt, I can’t even imagine how good the next one will look! We’re just hoping she puts them up for sale on Etsy.

Steampunk Typewriter Arm Guard With Bluetooth And Touchpad [Video]

This steampunk keyboard wrist guard is a gorgeous accessory that actually works! It would be impressive enough if it was just for looks, but Etsy seller BruteForceStudios went one further when they created a cosplay accessory that looks old-school, but is exactly the opposite.

The keyboard features:
– 3-in-1 multimedia wireless keyboard (Keyboard, TouchPad, Laser Pointer)
– Control your media while sitting on the sofa, lounging in bed, up to 100 feet away
– Built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a short re-charge time
– Includes mini 2.4 GHz USB wireless receiver
– Wireless receiver stores inside keyboard when not in use
– Stand-by time: 500 – 700 hours

System Requirements:
– Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / 7
– Mac OS 10.x or lower
– Linux (Debian 3.1 / Redhat 9.0 / Ubuntu 8.10 / Fedora 7.0)

Each of these wrist guards is handmade and takes about 8-10 weeks from start to finish so order well-in advance of when you plan to wear this incredible piece.
