In âThe Stop of Evangelionâ, the third Rei acted since the main switch behind Next Impact, that was initiated after she merged with Lilith. Throughout Third Affect, a shining figure involving Rei was shown for a few support frames looking straight down at Katsuragi Misato and also Akagi Ritsuko moments just before they died. These spectral images also came out over the corpses with the slain Nerv personnel.
